PlotFun Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the PlotFun mobile app ("PlotFun", "we", "us") collects, why we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It applies to the PlotFun app on iOS and Android and the services it connects to. Questions and requests go to [email protected].

1. Who can use PlotFun

PlotFun is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we delete the account.

2. Information we collect

• Account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier from our sign-in provider (Firebase Authentication) and, when the provider shares it, your display name. Your email address stays with the sign-in provider; we do not store it on our servers.
• What you do in the app. The shows you watch and follow and your viewing progress, the books you read and your reading progress, the characters you chat with, the messages you send them and their replies, photos and videos characters send you and whether you unlocked them, reactions, pinned chats, your character preferences (your gender, the characters you want to see and the content level you accept), your age confirmation, reports you file and characters you block, check-ins and rewards, and your diamond and membership history.
• Purchases. When you buy diamonds or a membership, Apple or Google handles the payment. We receive the transaction identifiers and product details needed to confirm the purchase and grant it to your account. We never receive your card or bank details.
• Device and technical information. Device model, operating system and app version, a device identifier (on iOS the identifier for vendor, on Android the Android ID), language and region settings, time zone, the languages of your enabled keyboards, your mobile carrier's country (Android), IP address and the country it belongs to, a push notification token, and request and crash logs.
• Advertising and measurement. An advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS only if you allow tracking; the Google Advertising ID on Android unless you opt out), install and campaign attribution, and the ads you watched in the task center.

3. How we use information

• Create and secure your account, keep your progress, chats and purchases in sync across devices.
• Generate character replies, photos and videos, and show you shows, books and characters in your language and region and at the content level you chose.
• Confirm purchases, grant diamonds and memberships, and keep records of your balance.
• Send the notifications you allowed, such as new episodes of shows you follow or messages from characters.
• Measure which campaigns bring people to PlotFun, show and reward ads in the task center, understand how the app is used and fix crashes.
• Review reports, enforce our Terms of Service, and prevent fraud, abuse and payment disputes.
• Meet legal obligations.

4. AI-generated content

Characters in PlotFun are fictional and their replies, photos and videos are generated by artificial intelligence. To write a reply, we send the character's description, the recent conversation and your new message to a third-party AI model provider (we route requests through OpenRouter to the model we have selected). Photos and videos are generated from the character's own images by our image and video generation services. We ask for your permission before your first message is sent. We do not use your chats to train our own models, and we do not sell them.

5. Who receives information

We share information only as needed to run PlotFun:

• Sign-in, notifications, analytics and crash reports: Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics).
• AI models: OpenRouter and the model provider it routes to, for chat replies.
• Payments: Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play).
• Attribution: Adjust, which measures installs and campaigns, including those run on Meta.
• Ads in the task center: Google AdMob and the ad networks it works with (AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, Liftoff, Mintegral, Pangle and Moloco).
• Hosting and delivery: our server hosting providers and Cloudflare, which stores and delivers images and videos.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect users or the service, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Tracking and your advertising choices

On iOS we ask for your permission before using your advertising identifier; you can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the system settings. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads; you can change that choice in Profile > Ad privacy settings. Notifications can be turned off in your device settings.

7. How long we keep information

• We keep your account and what is in it while you use PlotFun.
• If you do not use PlotFun for 30 days, your account is deleted automatically. While a membership or diamond plan is active the account is kept, and the 30 days start when it ends. Diamonds left in a deleted account are lost.
• You can delete your account at any time in Profile > Privacy & data > Delete account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
• After an account is deleted, we keep only what we need for purchases, refunds, fraud prevention and legal obligations: purchase records, and the links between device identifiers, IP addresses and accounts. IP addresses are deleted after one year without use.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, to object to or restrict some uses, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account in the app, or write to [email protected] for any other request. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. International transfers and security

We and our providers process information in several countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers. Information travels over encrypted connections, and access to it is limited to the people and systems that need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in account safe.

10. Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the new date at the top. For significant changes we will tell you in the app.
